There's something quietly radical about the SW150 Mark II. It's a piece of kit that looks, at first glance, like something a NASA engineer left behind at a camera shop.
It exists to solve the problem of ultra-wide lenses. Those greedy, horizon-swallowing glass eyes have always resisted the influence of a filter, being too broad and proud to accept the standard square.
So someone built them a bigger frame. It is 150mm wide, taking 150x170mm filters, rotating a full 360 degrees, armoured in aluminum, and sealed with a rubber Lightshield that keeps stray light out.
It plays well with Nikon, Canon, Sigma, and most of the usual suspects, though it arrives without filters or lens-specific adapters, because apparently commitment should cost something.
It's large. It's heavy. It takes patience to fit. But then, so does anything worth believing in. The photographer who straps this to a wide-angle lens at golden hour isn't looking for easy; they're looking for flawless.
